“FENJA”

Fenja – one of two female giants (the other one is called Menja). The Danish King Frode bought the two female thralls of King Fjølner of Sweden with the purpose to have them work the magical grinding mill Grotte. Frode made them grind gold on the mill, and a golden age of peace and good fortune began; known as Frode’s Peace. But Frode became greedy, and made them grind day and night. To get back at him, the two female giants raised an army through singing and grinding. The army killed Frode, thus ending the golden age.
