“KÁRA”

Kára, en valkyrie hvis navn betyder “vild”. Valkyrierne er en gruppe af kvindelige guddomme, som på Odins befaling udvælger de krigere, der skal falde i kamp. De skildres som ryttere med spyd og hjelme, og de kan ride over hav og gennem luften.

Kára – the name of a Norse valkyrie meaning ”wild”. The valkyries were female deities who on Odin’s command selected which warriors to fall in battle. They are portrayed as horsewomen wearing helmets and armed with spears. They furthermore have the ability to ride across the sea and through the air.
