“VI”

Vi – a term for Norse shrines. The ’vis’ were not only found in buildings, it was a general term for a holy, initiated area; e.g. a thingstead could be a ’vi’. The old Norse word is derived from the verb ’vígja’ – ”to consecrate, to sanctify”.
